CEO/Owner

Sandi Calderone, also known professionally as Sandi Carr has been the dedicated owner and operator for her business since 1997 with 29 years of experience as a licensed Master Esthetician, Massage Therapist, Healing Sound Therapist and Reiki Master. She brings a wealth of expertise to her spa in the San Diego, California area by staying up-to-date with ongoing training and education and she adds new and results driven treatments to her already long list of spa services every year, making her one of the longest running Day Spas in the San Diego area. There She Glows! Day Spa was voted Top Three Day Spas in Spring Valley, California in 2025 based solely on Google reviews from satisfied clients.

With 20 years of experience, Ken brings a mastery of diverse massage techniques to soothe sore muscles and address various sources of discomfort. His specialization lies in a deeply relaxing massage method that alleviates pain while targeting specific issues. Ken blends an array of techniques—Therapeutic, Swedish, Sports, Deep Tissue, Lymphatic Drainage, Pregnancy Massage, and more—to tailor a holistic and personalized experience for each client.

I truly adored this day spa. No, really! Sandi, the owner is a delightful and wonderfully joyful woman to be around. You can not help but be swayed to being happier in her presence. When you enter her "spa-zone" it envelopes you in calm, soothing and peaceful energy. Within moments you will feel comfortable, secluded and safe. And after you are snuggled and tucked secure in the yummy, warm sheets and blankets on her heated, massaging, contoured table. You surely will begin to find bliss. Now, Sandi Calderone the aesthetician is sublime! She has the most extraordinary smelling products. She is precise and fluid in movement. With a touch that is delicate and soft like fluffy cotton ball clouds, yet healthy, strong and sure. Sandi is understanding so, if you want to gab and chitchat go ahead. Likewise if you just want to have some meditative time to yourself, no worries. Tell her what your needs are and she will do her best to fulfill them. I called Sandi to have a spa day for me and my bridesmaids the day before our wedding a few months before our wedding. She was very sweet and asked lots of questions about my skin, my now husband's skin and the girls. She was full of information and very willing to work around my schedule. My husband and I went in for a "pre-facial" and a cleansing about a month before the wedding. Our skin looked spectacular afterwards! On the actual spa day, me and my girls came in and they had little desserts and a couple bottles of wine. Everyone had a fabulous experience! Everyone there is very friendly and very knowledgeable. Thank you to all of the girls who helped me out! Will definitely keep going back on my own for facials and waxing!!

Wow, This is a GREAT Day Spa! I've tried many others in the area and THIS is IT! The Owners name is Sandi Carr, and I am so thankful that I finally found her! I am a very meticulous and selective person and I need a competent establishment to get my "Manscape". My wife recommended "There She Glows" and said I WOULD NOT be disappointed..

Some of my previous experiences with other facials and waxing have been below average at best. I would be in agony during my wax and it went on and on. San is very skilled - she waxes cleanly and efficiently. I always have my waxing done before my haircut. Sandi put me at ease, and gave me a relaxing facial followed by a perfect "Spa Cut"..

I am extremely pleased by all of the services that she can provide.

Scheduling is very easy to do online and Ken provided a very high quality, professional massage. They were a little late because the masseuse before me, but Ken was very friendly and offered a glass of wine while I waited. The stone massage and foot scrub are great too.

Their office is in the back of the building in a quiet area, and very well decorated. They have the full experience with relaxing music, waterfall and heated massage tables. Like a salon they offer nail, brow, and other services which I think can also be scheduled online.

One word? Amazing! It's been six years since my last professional massage and, honestly, it wasn't the best experience. So when my wonderful husband bought me a massage package for our anniversary, needless to say, I was a bit hesitant. Ken was the massage Jedi Master! He has just the right touch - not too much pressure, especially where it was painful (unless you like that sort of thing), very respectful, professional, and completely made me feel relaxed. We're definitely coming back for a couples session so my husband can experience it too!
